Creative Vision.

I make cinematic, atmospheric music that blends electronica, downbeat, ambient, orchestral textures and rhythm-led genres like Drum & Bass. It’s hard to pin down to one sound, because I’m drawn to many - it all just filters through into what I create. I think of music as storytelling, and what I make often feels like a kind of journey. I was born in Aotearoa to a Māori father [Ngāpuhi] and a Welsh/English mother. We moved to Northwest London when I was a child. I grew up with a kind of cultural open-mindedness, surrounded by sounds from all directions; in the home and in the neighbourhood. Harlesden, where I spent my early years, was steeped in sound system culture - reggae, hip-hop, and rare imported vinyl booming from speakers on the weekends. That environment shaped how I listen, feel, and make music. My dad was a musician too, so the house was full of records: early electronica, jazz, classical, experimental stuff. Music tech was my way in - sequencing synths on the Atari ST long before I ever picked up a guitar. As an artist, I’m drawn to emotion, space, texture, and depth. I love the interplay between the acoustic and digital worlds. Some of my biggest influences are LTJ Bukem, Bonobo, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Brian Eno, and Goldie - artists who really know how to manipulate time play with space in their sound. I’ve spent years working with emerging artists as a mentor, educator and creative producer. I’m currently Head of Learning Pathways at Brent Music Academy and run workshops and projects across London. I believe in music as a tool for connection, identity, and growth and I’ve had the privilege of supporting people at pivotal moments in their creative lives. I recently founded 139 Records, a space to release my own downtempo and instrumental work, and to carve out room for music that doesn’t always fit into neat boxes. Current projects include ‘Superloop’,a mixtape inspired by ‘90s Intelligent DnB and ‘Tiaki’, a cinematic electronic/orchestral LP. I offer a range of music/audio production services as well as session work and commissions. I’m always open to meaningful collaborations. For me, it’s about turning feelings into sound and sharing that process with others.
